In Case You Missed It …

Car Line Reminders - Safety First

  • Have your student ready to exit your vehicle on the sidewalk side of your car.
  • Only allow your children to exit the vehicle after the curve in the driveway, our staff needs to be able to see them from the front of the building.
  • Our friendly Jenkins staff will assist your student, there is no need for adults to exit the vehicle.
  • Safety is our top priority, please follow these guidelines and our car line will move more swiftly while keeping everyone safe and happy.

Fun with Phonics

  • Kindergarten students use Play-Do and markers to tap out words and write the letter that goes with each sound.
  • Kindergarten and first-grade groups use paint trays, play dough and dry-erase markers to tap out words and write the letter that goes with each sound. 
  • Kindergarteners worked on CVC words and first graders practiced words with a silent e that also include a blend or a digraph. 
  • Lots of fun and great practice with phoneme segmentation, sound-symbol correspondence, and letter formation.
