Attendance

With Semester 2 beginning Monday, please consider the opportunity for a fresh start on attendance.  Nothing can replace in-class time with your teacher and class!

The full Scituate High School attendance policy can be accessed in the SHS Student Handbook.

Teacher of the Month

Library Media Specialist Ms. Tracey Newman is this month’s Teacher of the Month!  This is awarded in recognition of her hard work as a team player who helps students feel supported and welcomed to her space every day in the library media center. Whether it’s lending a chromebook, helping with research, or supporting students as a chaperone or audience member, Ms. Newman‘s commitment to and connections with students do not go unnoticed.

Student of the Month

Junior Louisa Kinsley is the January Student of the Month. Louisa’s commitment to recycling and reviving the SHS recycling program is making our school greener, and she has done a terrific job at harnessing the contributions of others to help keep up the momentum, from the art club to the environmental club. Great work all around investing in our school!

Connecting In and Out of School

We are so proud of our Scituate HS students, Mackenzie Barnes (pictured), Brigid Coleman, Claire Popeleski, and Isabel George, who are members of the Soulful Girls Club, a South Shore club for girls with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The club brings girls from across the South Shore together for a monthly night out.  The full video is available here.
