District and School Communications

The ParentSquare logo features a colorful connected dot design and text.

Scituate Public School uses ParentSquare as our primary platform for school communication. Families receive messages through email, app, voice, or text, helping everyone stay informed and involved.

An account is automatically created for each parent or guardian using the contact information in our student information system. We encourage you to activate your account to download the free mobile app, set your language preferences, and choose how and when you’d like to receive messages.

You will receive district, school, and alert messages through ParentSquare—making it easy to stay connected from your phone or computer. Whether it’s event reminders, forms, schedule changes, or school news, ParentSquare brings everything together in one convenient place.

With ParentSquare, you can:

  • Choose how you’d like to receive messages—by email, text, or app notification
  • Decide between receiving instant notifications or a daily digest of all communications
  • View school calendars and sign-ups
  • Communicate in your preferred language—and more!

Getting Started

  1. Activate your ParentSquare account to customize your settings. When setting up your account, you can choose how you’d like to receive school communications: either as Instant Notifications (sent as soon as a message is posted) or as a Daily Digest (a single summary sent at the end of the day).
  • Daily Digest: You’ll receive just one email, text, or app notification at the end of each day with all your ParentSquare updates in one place. Note: If there are posts that day, you’ll get separate daily digest emails from both your district and your school(s).
  • Instant Notifications: You’ll receive messages right away, delivered to your preferred method (email, text, or app notification) each time a message is sent.

There are two types of notifications, called Alerts, that may be sent by the school or district. Because of their importance, these Alerts will override your notification preferences and cannot be customized.

  • Smart Alerts: Quick reminders or important updates that go out right away (or at a scheduled time), even if you usually get a Daily Digest.
  • Urgent Alerts: Used for emergencies—like safety threats or natural disasters—where messages need to reach families immediately.
  1. Access ParentSquare at ParentSquare Sign In or download the free iOS or Android app (scan the QR code below to download).
