Welcome New Principal of Hatherly Elementary School

Scituate Public Schools is pleased to announce the hiring of Mrs. Kristine Sheahan as the principal of Hatherly Elementary School. Mrs. Sheahan will begin effective July 1, 2023. 

Kristine Sheahan has been an elementary teacher in the Scituate Public Schools for 14 years. Most of that time has been spent as a fourth-grade teacher at Hatherly School. As a teacher, she has been committed to helping all students achieve academic success while fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment. Kristine completed her administrative apprenticeship at Hatherly School during the 2021-2022 school year.  Mrs. Sheahan holds a BSBA in Finance from Northeastern University and a Master’s Degree in Education from Lesley University and she is currently enrolled in the CAGS Education Leadership and Management program at Fitchburg State University.

Mrs. Sheahan looks forward to continuing to work with the Hatherly community in this new role and to support the vision of the Scituate Public Schools as the principal of Hatherly Elementary School.

Mrs. Sheahan enjoys spending time with her husband Denis, three adult children, and two dogs as well as traveling and visiting Ireland.
