Massachusetts School Administrators' Association (MSAA) is a state organization dedicated to the professional development and networking of school administrators across the state.  This year’s Summer Institute “LEADforward” featured a variety of topics that are urgent for today’s leaders.

During this year’s Summer Institute, Scituate Assistant Superintendent Heidi Driscoll guided leaders from across the state in building sustainable structures to calibrate curriculum.  During this session, participants were reminded of the importance of focusing on consistent quality teaching and learning and honoring teachers as artists.

"The Summer Institute is inspiring and allows administrators to reimagine, reconnect, and reinvent their passion to build and lead staff, students, and our school community to be the best they can be. This starts with leaders like myself being at the heart of the conversation as we reflect and reboot with like-minded colleagues and share the amazing things that happen in our buildings and school communities. We are thankful and proud that the Scituate district gives us time for this amazing work (it never feels like work) that is focused on our passion so that every child will, and can, succeed at their respective home away from home schools." — Karen Hughes, Assistant Principal, SHS
