Scituate Unity Basketball Game

The 2022 Unity Basketball Game was a collaborative effort between SPS, and the Scituate Police Department. The goal of the event was to display our unity and have fun together. Our SPS Athletic Department really made it special by adding all the elements that make a sporting event awesome, including the National Anthem, announcing, referees, jerseys, clock management, warm-up music and a halftime shoot-out challenge. 

Participants on both teams were district staff, students, community members, officers and firefighters.  Occasionally, as a surprise, young scholar-athletes from the stands were given a jersey and played in the game as well! It was a great time for all and we look forward to it occurring annually.
