Scituate FACTS Partners with 8th Grade Wellness

The current 8th grade students recently welcomed Ms. Annmarie Galvin from Scituate FACTS to their Wellness classes to work on Public Service Announcements (PSAs) pertaining to substance misuse prevention.  Some PSAs will be shared with parents/caregivers through Scituate FACTS Social Media Platforms.  Before beginning their video PSAs, students discussed what the adults in their lives do that support them in making healthy decisions. Each group then incorporated one idea into their PSA video.  Also, as part of the project, students must demonstrate what they have learned about refusal skills in order to create and act out realistic scenarios showing how to stay safe while still having fun.
