Senior Selective Movie Premiere Showcase

Students enrolled in the senior selective, “Film as Literature” have been working all year to study, develop and create original films which demonstrate their mastery of storytelling in movie form. Working in teams of two-six, students wrote their own screenplays, designed sets and costumes and edited their filming in order to produce comprehensive, compelling and evocative movies which averaged 10-15 minutes in length. They then had the opportunity to premiere these projects to an audience of other students, teachers and family members last Wednesday evening in the high school library. The event was well attended and students’ films were met with resounding applause, a perfect way to conclude their experience in ELA here at SHS.
